A new musical created by John Magnie and David Wohl
A meaningful tale told by an idiot as a Rock ‘N Roll experience…
OVERVIEW
The idea that “all the world is a stage, and all of us are merely players” (Thank you, Billy Shakespeare!).
The idea that “all the world is a stage, and all of us are merely players” (Thank you, Billy Shakespeare!).
Acted out through the character of Nyomi, herself an actor, who leaves her hometown to pursue her acting dreams in the bright lights of the Big City. (Thank you, Jimmy Reed!)
AND, it’s the journey of the Prodigal Son (thank you, Jesus!), acted out through the character of Willen, a singer and guitar-man.
AND, it’s the journey of the Prodigal Son (thank you, Jesus!), acted out through the character of Willen, a singer and guitar-man.
AND, it’s the “love story and a half” of Willen and Nyomi…plus one other unexpected entity.
ALSO included are gratuitous musings on religion, addiction, sexual identification…
AND…the grocery store, and how it can be a place of revelation, where it is shown that kindness and compassion are really our true human nature.
OH, WHATEVER! It’s still a tale told by an idiot! But, at least it’s all set to some very danceable grooves! So, please sing and dance along, and we’ll see you all at the cast party at the end of the show.
